Lammas 2011
Aug. 8th, 2011 11:12 am and rather than the traditional colors, I lean toward the use of sage-purples, pewters, heather, and lavender. The altar cloth is pre-crumpled faux silk in cream, purples, and greys, shot through with silver thread. The items I'd planned to use all fit so well into the color scheme the whole altar presents disappointingly monochromatic. But I suppose that fits the twilight theme.
Feminine figure was a gift, carved stone candle cups, one throws silhouettes of owls on the wall. Stone box holds sea salt, stone bowl holds grain, a sweetgrass braid surrounds it. Pillar candles were gifts, the white one contains fallen leaves and grasses, the purple one holds seashells, oats, and a pair of tiny seahorses. Handpainted grapes on the bisque candlestick, and the incense tray holds a grasshopper in this last time before he faces the cold unprepared. The gazing sphere is green and purple fluorite on a fluorite ring.
